Drove up from Sandawg and started fishing from the rocks by the bubblehole about 0630. Wife was fishing little 'chovy colored swimbaits on 8# & I was tossing white crappie jigs on 6#. Lots of folks fishing the splasher & feather rigs. Not a pass, not a boil, didn't see anyone else catch a fish till one of the flyfishermen in a skiff out in the bubblehole connected. We decided to pack it in about 1000. A lady who had just gotten there said the afternoon bite had been better recently. As we were leaving we saw a bone being landed on the rocks. Plan for next time: Bring lunch and more coffee! The weather was great, nice to be fishing, but the wife & I were ready to start chewing on the plastic swimbaits! LOL
