#52, "SAN DIEGO REPORT"

I've spent the last 4 days on the water in san diego fishingg/working on the Producer. I arrived in diego wensday night to fish the wide open albacore bite before I had to work friday-sunday.The bite was wide open the so I was hoping to get into my first ripper bite of the year.Well, guess what? It was. I had 18 ALBACORE ( 18- 25 lbs), and 6 BLUEFIN ( 12-18 lbs) We had 200 fish off a meter mark in the dark.Never even put the jigs in the water. We sat on the basterds for 7 hours. For the last 1 hour it was WFO on the eighty pound and a 50 international. They wanted to die-ever bait was a bite. IT was so wide open we left them biting and boiling everywhere! One of the best bites I've ever fished in.
The next day I worked-IT was slow and we only managed about 30 fish. I couldnt believe it- I almost caught that many by myself the day before.
We found the guppies the next day for 100 fish. I nailed 2 fish on the wormking on the slide.Hooked and handed a dozen more-not anything like the ripper - we also had 4 dorado off an open water albie jigstrike.Wierd....
Another good day for 100 plus fish.Im exhausted and ready for a shower and my bed. A nice working/ vacation trip. That ripper was amazing-cant descibe it on a computer....
