Oh yea, bring plastics such as Big Hammer swimbaits and or some 3-4 inch grubs. Use 1/8 to 3/8oz. darterheads for the grubs and 1/4 to 3/8 heads for the swimmys. Live bait is good if you can get it, especially for those big butts. But plastics will get you bit pretty well. Crankbaits are good too.
