A friend of mine fished Huntington Harbor yesterday and bagged a 30" halibut from his kayak. Seeing that fish was enough to get me out there today. I launched with a buddy and we took turns fishing/paddling to stay in the hot zones. We worked the docks and finally the main channel for a mixed bag, mostly small sand bass to 11", micro halibut, and a monster yellowfin croaker. No spawning flatties for us today, but at least I know they're alive and kicking.
