#857, "Wednesday, full moon, high tide, silver death"

I received a message from my dad this morning on his latest excursion above San Simeon. Thought I'd share...

Mr. Ken and I went up to the lighthouse, and put in his 10 ft. inflatable through 6" surf, and out about 1-2 miles, 30-60 Ft. of water. It was an awesome day. We used silver jigs and my best fish came in at +/-12 lb. big, red, and ugly. Ken brought in an 8-10 lb. brown thing. We caught around 30 other assorted rock cod, but only kept about 15, the big uns. We lost 5 or more really big uns and threw back the little 3 pounders.......hahaha
Anyway, it was quite a day. All good bites after noon but they stopped when the smoke cloud reached us. Weird. Oh well, enough 4 one day.

POPS :-}
