I checked out your post on westernbass.com. I was shocked at what some people had to say (Hollywood,wccjanel,SHAFT,ect.). I could not believe the comparisons they were making of hunting to fishing. I also could not believe the fool who thought that it was possible the fish pictured on the stringer may have been released. It is hard for me to comprehend some of these anglers way of thinking.


I have absolutely no problem with someone killing a few fish for the dinner table, hell fish is very good for you. I have fished with people who have taken a limit of bass to eat. They kept the smaller fish and let the larger ones go and only kept males. I believe the majority of bass anglers practice good catch and release.


I was very happy to read Urban's post on no more live bait at Pardee. I'm told that the guys pictured with the smallmouth on a stringer are crawdad fisherman. I'm also told they fish at least 2-3 days a week keeping everything they catch (undersize,overlimit). Hopefull this will slow these guys way down. These guys have a reputation in the area I live and it's not a good one.


I'm pretty new to this site. The thing that makes me happy to see is that the fisherman on here seem to be very conscience and concerned about the health and welfare of the fish. This is a great web site.
