You gotta cast don't you? lol. Yeah maybe that splash spooks the fish. Maybe ducks spook fish and carp jumping spooks fish too, I don't really know because it is not often that I see the fish I'm casting to before I cast. It is an unavoidable thing, so I don't worry about it.
