Here's some shots of the BBZ-1 Shad. I've had a chance now to toss around all the sizes and colors. These are solid little baits. The action is triple trout-ish. They cast great, and you can burn burn burn them as fast as you like. Great balance in the lures just like the BBZ trout. This should be an outstanding summer time lure, or any time you have aggressive bass.
The most brilliant feature from a design standpoint on this lure is the way that the soft tail blends in to the hard body components. So many baits out there have tails that don't match the color of the body - drives me nuts. These look great from head to tail.
Gripes so far: Only one hook. Yes it's a small lure but the one hook thing makes me uneasy in the landing ratio department. The action while it seems good from a general fish catching standpoint, is not really a shad action. Should I care? I don't know... It's a good action. Time will tell.
