Although nowhere near as large as the ones posted by Fish Chris I'd still like to share my big 'uns for the month of August. The first one went 8 pounds, 14 ounces and was caught 10AUG02 at Middle River in the Delta. We were about to head back to Holland after a difficult day fishing Rock Slough and Disco Bay (nothing but runts) but we decided to check out some spots near Woodward Island. Gotta love those hunches. It was our last fish of the day and I picked it up on a watermelon-red Brush Hog pitched into wood. The 10th was a very hot day with no breeze and we were fishing at the bottom of low tide--'twas quite a nice reward for putting up with skiers and PWCs during the dog days of summer.

The second fish went 5 pounds, 7 ounces and was caught 24AUG02 near Ladd's Marina in the Delta. I threw blades, various t-rigged plastics and Senkos but they wouldn't touch anything but Senkos. This one fell for a 5" #284 Senko pitched into the shade, midday at the bottom of low tide. Both fish were released after being photographed.
