Nico, Cody and I went to the Fred Hall show today in San Francisco. We weren't expecting too much, and really there wasn't that much in the way of bass tackle, but the reason we went was to see Mike Long and John Kerr do their presentation. And I tell you what, it was the funniest thing, there were only about 15 people there to see them! I couldn't believe it. Here you have the top big bass guy in the state if not the country, and the guy who just won the US Open, and there's nobody even there. Sheesh, wake up Nor-Cal :) So that was a good time listening to John and Mike and hearing some new perspective on fishin. Well worth it if you have plans to go tomorrow!

The only thing I bought was a new net which I had been looking for for a while. It's a pro-mar landing net with a fine mesh. It's really big. Way too big for tournament fishing, but pefect for trophy fishing. I wanted the fine mesh so that I don't tear up the fins or tails on a big bass. Check it out, for $35 it was a good deal.
