#5731, "Bringing swimbaits to the Northeast, Ma"

Hey guys,

I'm looking to start throwing swimbaits in the Northeast, Ma. We have several ponds stocked with trout, but I'd think the primary forage would be sea-run alewives, shinners, perch and sunfish. Keep in mind that the state record caught in 1975 is only 15 lbs. I've heard of a handful of 10 pounders caught in the last couple of years, but nothing close to the state record. I've caught fish with 8" perch and baby bass in their throats. The typical big bass out here is 5 to 8lbs and anything bigger would be a giant. Damn I need to move to San Diego! Any recommendations?
