I use size 6 owner split rings. For the hooks, I vary it depending on the conditions. Clear water, I like small hooks like a size 1 in front and 1 in back (this might be a little small, but in clear water I feel like I need to go that small). Normal water, I like 1/0 in front and 1 in back. If its night time or dirty water I'll go with 2/0 front and 1/0 in back.

I think most people would use larger hooks than I do, but I have a little more confidence that I will get bit with the smaller hooks and havent had a problem landing the fish that bite. However, you might want to go a little larger than I do to ensure that you land the ones that hit. Also, I use owner hooks which I think run slightly larger than gammies.
