OK, so the other night, I broke out the Castaic trout, hard head, soft tail, pre snap on version, and it wouldn't swim. I would throw it out and start cranking and it would just come at me like a stick in the water, no wake at all. So I crank a little faster and it just lays on its side not doing anything. I'm fishing the bait on 25 pound Maxima, the hook I'm using is a 2/0, and I don't even have a stinger on the bait (yah, I know...asking for trouble). Any ideas gang? Thanks.
