Thanks Lake. My day started off with a good row from the barrier towards the bridge with a few stops along the way to throw a buzzbait to see if I could get any fish on top, but they never came for me. As I came to the end of the second island from the barrier I grabbed the flipping stick and started flipping a sweet beaver with a 3/16oz weight into the tulles. I got my first and best fish of the day near the point of that island deep in the shallow tules. With one fish in the well I decided to keep on rowing to the bridge cause I wanted to see if I could get them to go in a few spots up there. I threw the buzzbait in a couple more spots, but still no buzzbait fish, I should have used one without a clacker I just was being lazy and didn't want to retie. I lost a good fish while throwing a jig and pig when I set the hook I set right into the pork and didn't pentrate the fish so with one headshake he was gone. I then started to flip into the shallow weeds and tules with the beaver again and while talking to Mitch who was fishing on the otherside I ended up puting three more fish into the well all off of one island. I continued up the river and went up to where the river takes a hard turn and gets real shallow with a bunch of tulles, but wasn't able to get anything down there so my row back began. I made a couple of passes at a spot near the bridge and was able to put my limit fish in well by pitching a jig. I caught a few more fish, but nothing that was able to help me out. Then I made the row back to the barrier. I ended the day with 9 lbs 14oz. and to my surprise was enough to take it. Thanks again to Mitch and Joey for putting on the event and good job to sal(nice to see ya) and Doug for their finishes. See ya at the Open, CZ
