at the 5 a.m launch it was still pitch black out, and so i was fishing in the dark at a lake i had never even seen so it was a total mystery lake. i was just planning on going out fishing, not going in to win or anything. started out throwing a black jig in the dark and about 5 mins into the tourny caught a small keeper and just decided to throw it back because i didnt want to start dragging my livewell around. about an hour later when the sun came up i started pitching a brushhog to shoreline bushes then crawling back. got my first fish for my livewell doing this, a 4 1/4 lber. picked up another small keeper and some dinks. the rest of the day i spent fishing the bushes and culled my dinks out, but not all of them i guess because i left my smallest fish in, oh well. i caught one of my keep fish off a dock on a 6 in. senko, and at the very end broke one off over a log on a 7 in. senko. ended up with 11 lbs, and 4th place. good job to bill for the win and big fish to boot
