Nick,

Tubes are a very versitle lure that can be used year 'round and in all different ways. Chris mentioned flippin' them. Great way to go. Drag them on a carolina rig all year, pitch them to bedding bass, texas rig 'em, put a jig head in them...and on and on.

For the beginning, keep it simple. I would go with an either smoke w-blk red flake or white with salt&pepper, a crawfish colored tube (something with brown) and something in the green hues.

Since I'm not sponsored...yet :D I would just say go with whatever tubes are around. I've had great success with the Bass Pro Shops tubes (for everything but heavy cover) along with the Strike King flippin' tubes.

Talk with Scott Green at Outdoor Pro and he'll direct you!

Anyway, hope this helps all.

Todd
