I once saw a squirrel run out onto a partially submerged laydown to get an acorn that was sitting in the first fork on the tree. When he got to it, the water beside him erupted as a big ol' bass came up and took the poor squirrel down. It was amazing. A moment later, there was some movement in the water, and lo and behold, that big old bass came half-way out of the water, and placed that acorn back on top of that tree.


That's a smart bass;)
