LAST EDITED ON May-02-01 AT 01:41 PM (PST) No, I don't have a digital camera (yet). I just bought plenty of film to cover the tourney. However, it would probably be advisable to have someone (or two) plan to have a backup camera available -- and USE IT, too!
Yes, I'll have to scan the hard-copy photos, making the best digital renditions I can with the equipment I have. They'll certainly be usable for our Results page (and I'll provide original 4x6 hard copies to each of the guys, at some point down the road). I've gotten better at scanning/cropping, etc., I think, but again -- my equipment is not exactly top-of-the-line.
Don't know what alternatives we might have, but I don't think there's anything to be seriously concerned about, either, as long as there's a back-up camera or two.
I think we've got it covered. (Of course, if anyone wants to donate the use of their 2-megapixel camera or better, that'd be cool! I didn't want to trouble Rob for his, if he wasn't going to be there to keep an eye on it).
Any volunteers for 'photo back-up man'?
