#31989, "Potential new Open/Invitational sponsor?"

While cruising the aisles at the recent ISE show, I stumbled across a father/son-run booth selling 'CoverLure' lure wraps. I spoke with Michael Stubelt, who lives in San Jose and basically runs the company ("Lakeside Enterprises"). He said he'd be more than happy to discuss possible Open & Invitational tournament sponsorships, plus donations of product for our raffles.

They're really cool lure wraps, somewhat similar to what you can get from BPS & Cabela's, but with one significant improvement: a sheepskin liner to keep the cover in place on the bait, without snagging the hooks. It also retains moisture, so you could keep your pork trailers, Berkley 'Gulp' baits, etc., from drying out during the day. They're truly a 'deluxe' product, with a fancy, rubberized logo on the outside.

I've owned both the BPS & Cabela's wraps, but was often frustrated when the covers slid up the line from the lures, exposing those treble hooks again, which is what I was trying to prevent in the first place. With Michael's new product -- PROBLEM SOLVED!

I told him I'd have someone from our club(s) contact him, so here goes, for any of you who would care to follow up:

I bought 2 of the covers, and am very impressed -- those lures of mine are snug as a bug inside! Of course, I'd be more than happy to walk away with a few more from one of our outstanding raffles in the future!

Somebody give him a call!
