I have found that the big water there normaly is not that bad out there. If you want to launch out at eather the public or private marinas you can. The fishing there is good as well. If you head over to the dam you have a chance to catch a really nice smallmouth. I've see 5lbers out there. It wasn't on my line:-(

There are some great places in the main body of the water. There are a ton of little cuts and ect.
