Rocky I have a kind of report on the last tourney at Beacon, and even one at Big Break. I missed both, But no one caught a limit at Big Break, and the bite was very, very tough at Beacon. Winners deserve credit. I believe the herbicides, the spraying has hurt the fishing. Boating and Waterways now drops time release pellates to kill off vegetation, vegeation that bass live in. According to John at Waltons, the herbicides drove black bass to the south. ˇhe stripers that pass through are o.k. Herebicides are not easy to control, there is a build up. Maybe we should do something about the use of 2-4 D, which is toxic. I have never seen such a low bite in the delta, frank's track area (for largemouth). The water is clear, and some plants thrive and actually clear the water. Bobby Barrack, I am told, fished a tournament and came in with 8 pounds. Now Barrack knows the name and address of almost every bass. Sometimes it is wiser to let nature take its course. Inconvenient as that may be for some local interests. Rocky
