I had bought the kit 2nd-hand from a friend several years ago, for $10. I had always thought they might be a good alternative at Pinto, where so much of the brush hangs out over the water, 8-10 feet out from the shore.

Well, I found out why they've found their way to the bottom of my tackle box. The hooks bend out on just about any kind of hang-up in the brush, and the plastic often rips at the same time -- right where you need it to stay put, where the lead 'barb' holds it in place. Once ripped, the plastic is essentially worthless. Which means, then, that you have to cut your line & re-tie, since, as far as I can figure it out, you have to re-rig the new plastic and THEN tie it on. I couldn't find a way to slide the plastic over an already-tied-on hook.

The idea of it actually sounds feasible, but it sure didn't work for me out there on Sunday. I was more frustrated than anything, although it still looked somewhat tantalizing in the water.

Did stick a nice 5-lb'er on a 6-inch Senko late in the day! A good-fightin' fish, although it had alot of open sores on it. Kind of sickly-looking. I was happy just to catch, one, though! It slipped from my grip as I was waiting for the timer on my camera; otherwise, I'd have a pic for ya. Oh, well... next time!

Oh, yeah: anybody wanna buy some 'Walkin' Worms'??? :-)
