2/13 report: I borrowed my bro's kickboat to fish Lake Amador. Gil Camargo turned me on to a BassTrix trout lure that he has had success on his home lake. It rained on and off most of the morning, but it was still very fishable.

I hooked a Big boy right accross from the ramp, but he came unbuttoned before I could see it. This bad boy pulled my rod straight down. 30 minutes later, I hooked another heavy bass. At least this time, I was able to see her when she shook the hook as she tried to get that big body airborn. Big fish! As I was kicking myself for 2 blown chances, I hook a third. This one I was able to land. She was fat and ready to spawn. Weighed in at 9.8lbs (photo attached).

Good day on the water with 3 hooked hogs! Lession learned: Bigger trailer hooks!
