#23017, ""Smoke on the Water""

Bill, Darren, Dan, Scott and I all hit Highland Saturday for a little practice and all those guys did real well catching big limits. At around 12:30 dan and I decide to go fish Rocky Point for some extra fun since we had all day. Anyway we're having fun catch tons of fish when all of the sudden I hear this load hissing noise coming from dan's pontoon, I'm thinking that's so loud he has a huge hole and should be sinking to the bottom any second. He turns around to see what the heck is going on behind his seat and the next thing I see is a ton of thick white smoke just start bellowing out all around him. What happened is he accidentally hit his livewell switch somehow and the two leads to the livewell were exposed and touch together and shorted or something and all his wiring went up like a giant TNT fuse. Man, that #### was funny looking see him sitting in the middle of the water and disappearing into the cloud of thick white smoke. So he finally rip's the leads to the battery and it stopped burning. After the smoke had cleared he says "dude, where's my rod?" I guess in all the commotion he dropped it to the bottom of the lake. Anyway we got lucky dragging rattletraps on the bottom and found his rod and called it a day! :7
