#2427, "That mudhole of a lake called Pinto"

Dani Gleser and I fished Pinto Sunday with my usual success there. I caught one bass all day, about 2.5-3#. Dani caught his first bass flipping ever on his new flipping stick, went 3-4# (no scale).

I did catch another fish which remains to be identified. It was shaped like a crappie but had to have been a 1.5 pounds. It was quite fat but has the oddest colorings I've seen - reddish/purple with black mottled spots and a dirty yellow belly. Any ideas what that might have been? I lipped it so it wasn't a war-mouth.
