Rob Linden and I drove out early Thursday AM to fish ESPN Spring Lake.
Thanks Todd and the people who put together the ESPN Spring Lake shoot.
I enjoyed fishing out in front of the ESPN camera. :P
It was cool to hang out with everyone. Phil, Rich, Jay, William, Russ, Chris, Scott, Rob, Dave, Bill.

Friday pre-fished Clear Lake with Rob Linden North and Konocti area.
Rob found a great 1 to 2# fish bite with the occasional 3#er in the area.

Saturday day one of the tournament State Park my bite remained slow all day.
I scraped a small limit with traps and a drop-shot rig.
One of the better things of the day was chet chatting with Bill Sweat while he and I caught fish
Cool guy - Thanks for keeping it fun and real ;-)

Day two fished Konocti with Rob and Swampy.
I only brought in 3 small line scrapers to the scales. Tried tossing everything
I didn’t get the fish I wanted. I’ll be back and ready for them some other time.

I did get to witness something I thought was all pro.
With the last few minutes fishing Konocti, kicking back the last hundred or so yards to the weigh-ins.
Tad was back behind six others fisherman and hooking up fish one after another.
From what I was told he caught fish all day. Good job!
Wish I had brought my camera.
Congratulation Tad Montgomery on the win and to catch your personal best fish in the year’s top tourney of champions.
