What a difference a day makes! I was on the water at 6am and fished till 1pm. Not a breath of wind all day. I was actualy hoping for some wind because it was so hot. I rowed for about 10-15 minutes to the first bay that I wanted to start at and on my first cast with a Senko get a very subtle bite. I set the hook and that thing took off right towards me. Got it about half way to the boat and it came off. Never saw it but it felt like a good fish. I moved over 2 docks and got a 2.5lber. Moved to the other side of the bay a got a shorty then the next cast got a 2.25lber. By 6:30-6:45 I had three solid fish bite and 2 in the well. I thought it was going to be a fish filled day. After about 3 hours and a few short fish the bite completely stopped. It was HOT and only going to get hotter! Be sure to have reguvenade and maybe some frozen water bottles for the livewell. Lookin forward to seein everybody again!
