These reels are perfect for your 7wt or 8wt rods and would work fine on a 9wt too. All of my lighter trout rods have the 67 reels on them and I can vouch for their performance. This reel would be a perfect match for your steelhead rod this winter as well as a variety of other types of angling. You can’t believe the sensitivity of the drag on these reels for the money.
