#3256, "Loomis Rods for Sale New and Used"

Got some rods I either don't need or need to get rid of to upgrade!

First is a brand new with the tag and price still on it IMX SJR782S. This is a great 5lb-8lb split shot and dropshot rod. MSRP is $230.00, asking $150. Here are some details from the loomis website:

Length: 6'6"
Power: 2

Spinning
One of our most versatile warmwater spinning rods, the 782 has a fast taper for a more positive hook set and greater casting distance. The extra length provides better line and lure control, especially in deep water, where slack line may cost you a fish. A good choice for fishing minnow baits like the Long-A and Rapala, and the preferred rod for split-shotting worms and grubs. If your preference for bass is spin over cast, this is a good-no, make that great rod.

Next is a brand new with the rag and price still on it IMX MBR 783C. This is THE MOST versatile rod in the loomis lineup, perfect for 10lb line and texas rigging or light jigs. It can pretty much do it all if need be. MSRP is $235.00, asking $160. More details from loomis site:

Casting
A good Choice for fishing light to medium jigs and worms, the 783 was designed to fish bass, northerns and even walleyes in certain applications. But it also makes a very nice light saltwater rod for snook, redfish and specs. It's powerful, with a light tip, which allows for a good hookset, and still has enough power to move fish away from cover, without feeling too stiff. If we had to choose one casting rod for all of our fishing, the 783 would be our choice.

Third rod for sale is a lightly used G-Loomis Flipping Rod, IMX FSR904X. It is telescopic. I bought this flipping stick because my tackle whore self talked me into buying a flipping rod since it was the only missing piece in the lineup. Too bad I don't FLIP! I've used this rod maybe on 10 trips and has only seen a few casts(or flips) on each outing. I give it an 8+ out of 10 cosmetically. This bad boy retails for $320.00, asking $190.00. More details from the loomis site:

Casting
This is our original flipping stick, and it's an amazingly versatile rod considering the stiffness. The tip of this model is slightly softer than the other flipping sticks, making it flexible enough to cast Carolina rigs or big jigs. Anglers also use it with great success muscling largemouths out of deep-water weedbeds. It's an excellent power-fishing tool.

Rods are available for pickup in the San Gabriel Valley area or if need be, can be shipped at buyers expense. Jump on these before they go to ebay next week.
