#1309, "Trolling motor mounting and wiring"

Wazup guys! I'd like to ask some questions about mounting and wiring a bow-mount motor on an aluminum boat. I just got a used MotorGuide Motorsport 46 lb. thrust motor from a friend who bought a new one. It is going on the front of my 14 ft. Valco, on the large bow plate the boat model came with. The mount fits just enough on the plate but it but tilts towards the end. I was thinking I could put some spacers under the back attachment bolts to equal out the mount and give it a stable position. Would this work? Any help would be great.
Most importantly, however, is how do I bolt the motor to the metal bow plate? I'm clueless as to how I should attach it. ALl help needed!
Now for the wiring part. The motor is a 12V/24V motor and is rigged for 24 but my boat only needs 12 to fly around the lake. How do I wire this to the battery? My friend told me it needs a new female plug for the motor, which I found with no problem but how do i rig eveything up? Diagrams would be very nice for this and so would any help! Thanks

Bass + Fisherman= BAASS ADDICTT!!!

Chris....The small bowrail isn't thick enough to bolt the back of the mount too. The front will be fine but with only those bolts the mount would flex too much when you step on the pedal....

Not sure how everyone else did it but I built this bracket for the rear bolts on the gatormount and it works great...Kinda overkill but worked great....Warren
