any suggestions on tuning my catala 400? upgrades on drag, bearings and gears? It ran like #### outa the package. I bought it on ebay so no refund is available. pops into gear outa freespool and grinds as if its going to on most casts. I'd like to use it for calicos and swimbaits. I keep it spooled with 15# p-line which shouldn't be too much for it to handle.

I would call Shimano at 949-951-5003. They rebuild reels for very cheap. I heard their turn around time is very fast. Hope this helps!;)

Hi!
For interesting reel upgrades (bearings, drag washers, handles etc), go to http://www.hatterasoutfitters.com then click on the "Reels" link and then on "Reel Candy".

Hope this helps ...
