#3050, "Shimano drag question???"

Does anyone know if the drag in the 2006 curado, citica, etc... are the same as that of the old Curado 200B? Also, I'm told its also the same drag that goes in the Calcutta 200, is this correct? Thanks!

The drag washer in the new Curado/Citica/Cruxis and Calcutta 50B/100B/200B is the Dartanium washer. Its the newer Dartanium II style washer (Similar to a compressed Graphite type material). The older Titanium fiber washers are no longer used in the new reels. The Dartanium drag washers last longer and are most resistant to heat.

However they do require maintenance as the older Titanium washers do. Service your reels once a season and they will last forever.
