I have a Calcutta TE400 Loaded With Momoi 30# diamond Mono.I need a Rod to fish for stripers and will be throwing the Jerry Rago 8" 4.5 oz baby tool swimbait almost exclusively.
I have never used a Non medium heavy rod for stripers and was thinking about a Shimano CRC-SX711MH. While this crucial is rated for my Line weight and Lure Weight it says it is for baits only 5" long while the Baby tool is 8" long.
So would the MH crucial swimbait be the rod I am looking for or do you have other suggestions.

I would say the H or XH.

The MH is too light for that bait

Have you considered the Okuma guide series rods? i have one of the xh's and it can take any bait i fish with it (including the big osprey from the old days).

Why not go with a RAGO rod for the RAGO bait?
