Call Okuma Customer Service. From what I have read over here and what I have heard from people, they are very good with their customer support. Those rod have a limited life time warranty as well. Give them a call and provide them a copy of your receipt and I am sure they will help you. If not there are members of the Okuma staff posting here that can help you.

I don't recall their number if you do a search here, you will see posts with similar questions. Good Luck.

Here's the phone # 1-800-466-5862. That would be the most direct way to find out. The rods have lifetime warranties. I don't know the specifics however. Our resident Okuma guy is on the road this month which is probably why you didn't get an immediate response.

heh, you recognized me by my code name Ralph Bellouie huh? I was fishing with Rod Thigpin who makes the stocker trout so we reported the fish but I guess the picture he put under the counter blew away in the wind storm that night and by the time it made the fishin paper my name was Ralph Bellouie and the weight was 9.8lbs instead of 9lbs 8oz (or 9.5lbs). I had a good laugh :)
