I have a leak in my fuel line and I want to replace the gas tank and the fuel line assembly. I have a 5hp Honda 4 stroke, the model is BF5. Basspro, West Marine, and a ton of other people have replacement 3 gallon tanks and fuel assemblies. The problem is that nobody that I can find has the Honda female end piece that connects from the fuel line to the motor. I take it back ... this place has the Honda branded parts :

But they want some crazy amounts of $$$ for a 3 gallon fuel tank and a rubber hose. If anybody knows any info on how to get the fuel line assembly and female end piece for Honda I would really appreciate the info. Maybe there is a generic piece that can be used, I just want to make sure before I go buying anything.

Is it some special connection for the honda motor? If it's just a regular fuel connection you can easily buy the connectors, fuel line, bulb and clamps for probably like $15. Why don't you just use the old connector, and then buy the other stuff?

Rob,

Not sure if they can help, but you might try Tradewinds (www.twimarine.com) in Costa Mesa. Ask for Ken, and maybe they can either ship you the part or steer you the right direction. I purchased my Bayrunner/Honda from them a while back. Good luck.
