I went to Hodges today, and was shocked at what state the lake was in. It is so dissapointing to see a quality fishery like this reduced to basically an over sized pond. The boat ramp is now a parking lot, not that you would need one that big to handle the amount of cars that were there. I hope San Diego can do something to remedy this before we lose this lake. Rumors abound of water that is going to be diverted to Hodges so it can be kept at level and slowly refilled. But until then we are left with the results of our on going drought. So for now we have a great tubing lake with great access and no boat wakes to contend with. Fishing was slow, with no bass being reported. I did see a good stringer of crappie that was taken early in the morning.
