I am looking to get some good polarized glases? What brands and styles do you guy's like? I have basicly no experence w/ them, I dont want to spend over 100 bucks.

What lense color is your overall favorite? I know different colors are better for different things buts what is best all around?

Thanks

If you have a Sam's club membership they have a pair of glasses that I think are the best glasses I have ever owned. They are made by field and stream they come with a beautiful case lined with soft leather and they were only 25 bucks

Check the archives. For serious sight fishing Rob (Swimbait) made a recommendation one or two years ago.

Any polarized glasses will help. But don't compare the walmart 'bats' to the high end 'bats'. They use a different lense for the high end model that is 10X better. In most cases you really do get what you pay for.

I've been using Kaenon's since last November. There's a couple of things I don't like about them, but they're minor. They are the best glasses I've ever owned. Very comfortable as well. Most places, TW included, sale them for $180. You can get them at Cabela's for $130.

For what it's worth...I bought a pair of upper-end Solar Bats a couple of years ago. When I took them out to use them a couple of months ago, I noticed I had some how broken one of the ear pieces. I contacted Solar Bat to ask if I could buy an ear piece so I could fix them. They told me to send them in and they would re-frame the lenses. I had them back in a week with brand new frames. I did not expect them to that for no charge, but I sincerely appreciated it, so I'm passing it on. Awesome customer service.

Happiness is a tight line and a stiff pole.

Before my insurance bought me a tres kewel pair of Rx RayBans (worth every penny) I did just fine (for a blind guy) with $3.00 polarized shades from Kobey's swap meet...:D

Gray is a good compromise for bright & cloudy days.

I got a pair of Oakley Fives 2.0 polorized glasses and I am
very happy with them. Almost like X-ray vision on clear
water. Full retail is a little pricey but if you know
someone with a commercial account, you will only pay $65. for
the polorized version. I have never had to use it, but I hear
the customer service is great too.

Everytime I buy glasses, I loose them overboard, break them or
misplace them. Cheap goes along way for me, therefore wally
world cheapo's will have to do for me. I like yellowish
lenses, those are usually the lightest and you can see in the
water the best.

You're not going to get them for $100 but Maui Jims' Pipeline
model is the best I've ever used and I've gone thru many
high-end polarized sunglasses over the years. They are the
lightest in weight and their frame/temple design won't let
them fall off. I do a lot of twisting and moving around in my
little boat and have never had then even slip down much less
fall off.

Don't scrimp on your eyes. There are reasons why some glasses
are so much cheaper than others and it's not all
"marketing".
