SOCB or LMVA Members,

Im loking into starting a Young B.A.S.S Masters Club (age's 14 - 18 at Lake Mission Viejo. After talking to people at B.A.S.S. I was told that we have to get "Sponcered" by an active adult club.

With the club There will also be a Bass fishing leauge ages 16 and up( like a softball leauge) starting in april / may. This will run for 7-12 weeks. Like softball you can play/fish all you want. But for the one day a week that counts, you must register before you fish...

ex.. you can fish one or seven days a week, but for your one and only day that counts you must check in and get a live well inspection. This alows any angler to fish any day and time he wants.

after the 7-12 weeks there will be a one day playoff from 6am tell 1pm with a BBQ after and awards.

first place will get a trophy like the Lords stanley cup, that will have your name and will be yours untill next season.

Zach Meredith
Lake mission Viejo Recreation

let me know if theres any intrest?

Talk to Mike Kerr at LMV. He has a bass club and they have a tounrey every once in a while at LMV. He is the manager at the lake and should be able to help you out. If not maybe we can put together an informal event. I can get a few boaters out there to help out and do some sort of team tourney where the boater and kid share weights.

Shoot me a PM when you think about this some more. I can get some help maybe through my work and friends as well.

I fish with Henry occasionally. I usually fish there a lot by myself or with some co-workers. We did have a couple of small tournaments with my work last year, and it was a lot of fun. The lake is a little small for more than 10-12 teams, you just run out of water at times.

I'm sorry that I misunderstood what you were trying to say. I thought you were a young kid trying to put something together out at the lake. I would love to take some underprivelledged kids out for a good day of fishing, either the trout or bass. We did a trip on the ocean for the Make a Wish Foundation. It was cool taking the kids out, but a little depressing seeing some of the medical conditions they had.

Keep me posted on what you guys are planning. I have no problem helping out as long as I am in town. I travel frequently with my job, so I may be out for a few days at a time.

Thats all we need a bunch of people chucking swimbaits and killing my bite a little more...

I'll be out there tomorrow to put my roommates on the trout. I'll be chucking the big bait all day and praying for that one bite.

Zach, what about a bass league for 18-25 year old females?? Im all in!!! I think a few of the lifegaurds might be interested.

We couldn't get one to go out on the deep spot. I farmed one on Saturday in a cove around 14 or so. She ate and spit just as fast. why do they have to spit? I want them to swallow }(

I saw you out there both days going for the trout. I did the trout thing on Saturday also, I caught about 15 before I gave up. They did put some better grade fish in this year. Too bad the tails are all clipped :-(

I'm waiting for some better weather before I go back. My back needs a break!
