Hit the North side of the lake around 10:30 this morning. Picked off five smaller bed fish in the 1-2 lb. range, the biggest was a three pound female. All fish were caught from shore using 4" fish traps/curly tail grubs.
Went home at noon for lunch:
Hit the Finesterra(spelling) shore line at 2:00. Saw the largest LMB so far this year. This toad was at least 14-16lbs., she was crusing for a mate. Walked down to the point and nailed two more in the 1-2lb. range. Met "fongster" for the first time at the point. He too was smacking the bass. Exchanged a couple of stories and continued on my way. I ended my day at around 3:15 with a nice fat 5lb. female. What a day, this lake is on fire right now and only keeps getting better. Oh, I forgot to mention that the lake also just got another 4000lbs. of rainbows on tuesday with quite a few of the white lightning species.
Remember:Catch and release all bass caught during the spawn. Violators will be severely beaten to a pulp.(jk)
