Fished at Lopez from 9/09 to 9/12. Fishing was better than I expected at this time of month (post new moon). Caught several nice largemouth up to 4.7 pounds. No monsters, but a lot of fun on a light rod/line. Most of the larger fish came on a dropshot rig in Magic #1 color.
Others came on crankbaits, in shad pattern, but were mostly dinks. Air temp. (day) 73- 90, water temp. 69 - 71.

That's great that you had a good time. The last time I was there the Lake was getting lower and lower. It was the first part of September and it was hot.
I like using Black Spinner bait with a black trailer. When I Crank I use Crawdad colors and plastic worms. I have been using Zipper in 4-1/2" Shad / Aron Martin colors. I use the Drop-Shot as the last resort. Thanks Fred
