Next Tuesday the BOS will have a hearing on the proposed rate changes for entry. They will be going up to $1 more per car and $1 more per boat in off season and $2 more for each in peak season. The public is invited to speak at this one. Here is YOUR chance to let the Stupervisors hear what you think about this whole debacle. The gate fee increase is nothing and could be raised even more in my opinion. But this would be a meeting NOT to miss. They meet in the Hahn Building Downtown LA at 9:00 am. Dont miss it beeeeee there! Dave

Here is a copy of an email I got from Millie Jones:
Ladies and Gentlemen: The Board of Supervisors just came out of closed session. They once again brought up item #6 and the Antonovich/Burke motion to increase fees at Castaic Lake and allocate $753,000 to the Parks & Recreation department to keep Castaic Lake open through January 2004.
Motion carried 4-0. Molina was not present for the voting.
On behalf of Supervisor Antonovich, I wish to thank Tere Tucker, Lloyd Carder and Clay Friedman for their impressive testimony today. We recognize the strong support we have witnessed from the entire community regarding this important issue. We appreciate all of your efforts and look forward to continuing our work together on a permanent solution for funding the Lake.
Please share this good news with others in your email address bank.
Thanks to everyone, Millie
