Thanks Jimmo for posting the plant of 3500 lbs. It was not listed by DFG. But, it was very evident. Showed up at 10am & started at the fishing dock. Did not stay long because of the brush. We headed down by the rocks. There was 3 of us. I caught 1 & my diehard fishing buddy caught 3. His brother caught 0. :-( But, it wasn't over yet. We really wanted the other guy to catch at least 1. He was bent on using a kastmaster. He had alot of chasers but no takers. I caught mine on a 1/2 nightcrawler w/a lil plastic tail. My other friend had 1 on a crawler & 2 on sherbert power-bait. A very cool fisherman near us left w/ his limit but, came back to tell us of a spot that was going off BIG! So, we went to check it out. Now, this is where it goes AWESOME. Fish were boiling all around this spot. I switched to a little plastic grub (normally used for bluegills). 1st cast ... WHAMM!!! :7 My friend w/out fish ... WHAMM!! HOOK-UP!! :D YEAH!! man. Fish after fish! :7 We only kept a total of 11 for 3 of us. We released all the others. Probably released a total 20 fish. All in all a great day! Thanks Jimmo. I would have not gone if you never posted the plant. A heads up for anyone else... I spoke with a DFG officer that said they will plant again during this coming week (11-3 thru 11-7).

Hey, thanks for the report. I'm going to try the big lake again tomorrow morning. I may have to take an extra battery and give the small lake a try with the big baits if the stripers don't come up....Warren

The LMB are lurking for the smaller stocker trouts in the lagoon. We saw a nice bass cruising near shore and trout scattering all over. We saw some splashes & trout jumping. I am sure some of those big dogs (LMB) had some trout on their menu yesterday. >>> P.S. - I forgot to mention in my 1st report, I was speaking of trout.

Glad I could help! I couldn't get up there this weekend. Did the DFG guy say they were planting the big lake this week? I can't imagine they'd plant the lagoon again...

Well, he was not specific. I did not ask if it would be just the upper lake or both. Here is a DFG fish planting # (562) 590-5020. The implication was both. I could be wrong.
