#1226, "Margarita cats"

Well it seems that me and the boys have put together our annual Margarita catfishin Derby. The winner gets to talk ##### for the whole year.... Has anyone heard of any cats coming out latelty? Last year we had a few in the 7 to 10# range. I know they have been planting some trout lately. Hopefully all the big guys are going to be moving in on all the dead planters. Since I ended up winning last year and will be defending the throne I will take any I mean ANY reports I can get.

P.S.
Bass Report(NEW MIRACLE BAIT!!!!!!)
A few months ago me and my buddy were night catfishin from the dock near the narrows with chovies. Than what do ya know fish on.... After setting the hook I realize I have a nice one. Then all of a sudden it jumps what seemed about 3 feet out of the water like a largemouth. It is pretty dark out at this point(from the beers too:) ) but I do know I have never seen a catfish jump like that. What do ya know it was a largemouth a nice 6#er. The funniest part is I caught it on a chovie!! I have fished Margarita MANY times for bass and have never caught anything that size. So all you tournament buffs out there looking for the big one dont ever say I never told ya........

Hey Zacharooni, I just walked in the door from Margarita. I saw one guy had 2 cats to about 6 pounds. He caught them around the narrows on mack chunks. Also, the last trout plant was on April 11th. I fished all day for NOTHING! Oh well, it was fun, and i saw a group of 5 other float tubers. It was like a tube party out there. Good day overall, but not so good fishing. By the way, i was talking with a few people the other night that said they have caught some BIG bass with mack chunks too! Give it a try. You really should get the float tube out so when you hook up with big moe, you wont need a trolling motor. Have at it, and tell me what you get. I would have cat fished at night, but our camping trip was canceled.

Till Later,
Joel

To fish, or not to fish, what a stupid question!!

Nah, just work it like a jig and pig combo! Hehehe, just kidding. I would not use the mack specificly for the bass, just cast it out in a good looking spot and let it set. To be honest, who gives a crap what people think you look like! You think I care what people think when i am covered in fish blood and other bait what not! Hehe, go get them and report back!!

Till Later,
Joel
