#3600, "advice on a fishing trip"

I am planning a fishing trip from the end of may for about two weeks. I live in chico (nor cal) and want to fish for trout up north. I know there is some good fishing up there like the lower sac. and trinity, but dont know the best time to fish them. Any other spots I should check out? any advice would help me out.

Lake Crowley is always good, just get good weather and call ahead to rent a boat. Can't go wrong there.

You can't go wrong going North, the Redding general area is a fisherman's paradise. If you flyfish, the upper sac, McCloud, Pit, Hat Creek, the Trinity River, etc will all be hot with stones, caddis, and several mayfly's. If you spin fish, the upper sac has some all tackle spots and Lake Siskiyou at the top is loaded w/ smallies, with the tributary mouths stacked up w/ trout. Trinity lake is also fishing well at the tribs for trout and smallies while using countdown rapalas and panther martins for both. Get it while its hot!
