Last night about 7:15 i felt like throwing a line, so on a whim i ran out to this small res. in the middle of a strawberry field. I live in Santa Maria so there are lots of those, anyway, i have never fished there before. I roll up get out and im using an ultra-lite with a white grub. First cast i get hit and farm it, get in and the tail is missing on my grub. Big smile fills my face as i walk back to the truck and grab some more grubs. This pond is no more than 30 yards across, full of small bass my largest 12-13 inches. What a blast caught 15-20 fish in 45 mins. Had to change my grub 4 times they chewed them to pieces. Too much fun and only 10 mins. from my house. is that cool or what? You know, it brings a smile to my face every time i get hit,and man was i smiling last nite! Good time........

Hey Barry, I am also from Santa Maria and was wondering where this place you found is located. I have found another place (drainage ditch) that is loaded with small (4-6") green sunfish. I take my son there often and he has a ball catching them. If you can, could you please tell me where this place is??
