I've never been to either, but I'd probably go to Hodges. I hear that it's very low and hasn't been getting much pressure. 9" san diego worms straight tail and fat free shad cranks have been known to catch 'em there. For info on the lakes go to sdfish.com or search google.

Dixon, no way you can kayak. No private boats or water contact. Hodges, you can kayak.

They both could be decent, but I'd lean toward Hodges if I were you. Dixon has some whales, but other than them, not much else.

Swimbaits been reading too many posts on SD or something! Skinny long worms and fat free shads! Don't forget spinnerbaits on the banks in the morning. I gotta believe whatever bait is in Hodges is getting blown up on the surface too.

I read it all. And I remember it all. sdfish.com has that archive of old reports. I read every single one. Gotta get your learn on :-)

Thanks boys. Gonna hit Hodges dark and ugly. Even got me a new spinner the other day. Maybe I'll finally catch something on one. Is it hopeless w/out a trailer?
