For those of you who don't know Wild Horse is this little lake on the other side of I-5 from Lake Pyramid.

I hadn't been there in over 10 years but my cousin heard reports of some decent striper action so we decided to hit it. Got in the tubes just before sunrise and Josh gets two nice boils on his Spit-n-image and pick up a 14 inch largemouth on a black spinnerbait. A little later I get a 15 inch on a Chart/White buzzbait. We see a nice striper boil out toward the center so we go out and fish Fastracs, Rat-L-Traps, and Slammers for a while but nothing. Start fishing largemouth again and I got a 17 incher on a Rebel Wee-Crawfish along with 3 dinks. Saw some more nice striper boils but couldn't reach them in time. All in all not bad and if you just happen to be near the stripers when they go off you'd probably nail 'em.

Har, sounds like Rob's old margarita float tubing adventures. There's a striper....where'd it go.....no more striper. I guess you gotta be in the right place at the right time. They would be fun from the float tube though.
