Good luck out there AE,I will be heading out there sometime early Oct also but am going to WilowBeach this coming weekend.Bombay will probably be your best bet,or maybe somewhere outside of Redhill.Hard to tell with that place sometimes.

Looking forward to your report, should be enjoyable time out there with the weather being much cooler!!

sound like fun,at least it wont be 200 degrees out there.we hit it up all summer and the best bite was at bombay, but that was months ago and the bite has been lost ever since, alot of green water around.were headin up to willow beach in our yaks this weekend or we would be game for a salty trip, but you must have your priorities in order.post your results id love to get some more corvina before it gets to cold out there, they tow a fishndive very well and i think it is the most underrated fish, and fisheries around.but hey i dont mind being the only one in a wide open corvina bite.well good luck buddy and post your findings.

tight lines bros!!!!!!!!!!!!

Looking like 2 weeks now. With the weather all goofy and no good reports, I'll wait another week. Probably hit Sutherland instead.

Hey, if you do wait till next weekend, hit me up and hit up Phishnuts and Woodchucker, we might be inclined to join you. If you go this weekend, the weather will be nice but look for the Red Water, fish give no play in Green water. Something about the Red makes em horny or something :)) Either way, have a great time and catch a fatty or 2
Later

Also, where would you guys suggest launching?

This is my only plans as of now. Get there by 6:30am (unless the experts have a better idea?). Going no matter what the reports say. Though if the wind is over 20mph out there on Fri, I'll probably go to SD Bay.

hey ed,ther is a great link off of allcoast that has about all the info on the big salty you need,a guy named pete runs it and he knows his stuff on that place.i dont know what type of fishing vehicle you have but the bite can be pretty spread out some days, plenty of trolling needed,we fish out of yaks so were still pretty limited.i would try bombay first but it is still anybodys guesss were the fish are holding.were probley going to wait till the bite comes back strong, cause when you get skunked out there it really hurts.any ways there is to many trout plants going on now, been waitingall summer for the lunch truck to come back, got to get out there and chuck some wood!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
good luck and post your findings,we did pretty good out at wiilow, phishnuts broke down the details on this board.........

got 2 fish.
