#991, "March 11, Shadow Cliffs"

Got to try out my tube today, totally different feeling than fishing from shore, kinda cool being so low in the water, or I guess I should say IN the water. Anyway, I fished the 1st pond for about 2 hours and mangaged one 10 or 11" bass, not much, but better than a kick in the pants. He came on a 3" Magic drop shot worm, wasn't drop shotting though, just dead sticking it.

Was the water temperature bearable or were you totally uncomfortable? Been meaning to float Shadow Cliffs. See any trout landed?

Water was fine. Didn't see any trout landed, but I don't think there's trout in the back ponds, or if there are I've never heard of any.

Went back today, I stuck 2 more, one about the same size of the one I got yesterday, and one about 13 or 14 in. Both came on the same 3" drop shot worm. Not to mention the 10 or so hits I missed/lost. Stayed out till bout 6:20 tonite, and man did I get cold, mind you I was only wearing shorts and a t-shirt under my waders. In that case the water was somewhat unbareable, but I got over it.

I'll be back out there in two weeks, I'm busy next week.

It says on the permit you need for the lake that they have stripers in there, does anyone ever catch any??
