Hey, TBrumfield, I've seen your posts on Salt Creek, and I'm wondering which part of Salt Creek Beach you usually fish. There's the north cove accessible from the parking lot near the Ritz Carlton, and the south cove that runs up against Dana Point. I usually fish the south cove, but I have had mixed (i.e., poor) results lately. Do you think any particular area is any better than the others?
I'm planning on going out there Sunday morning, and I'd appreciate whatever pointers you could share. Thanks. OCSean

Thanks for the tips. Any suggestions on tactics to get those corbs and croakers? I usually use the 1.5 in. grubs (motor oil w/ red flake) on a Carolina rig in the whitewash. I'm going to try throwing Kastmasters (1/8 and 1/4 oz.) out past the break. If I'm wasting my priceless fishing time, or if you have any other tips, I'd be much obliged. Tight lines. OCSean
